Rajini Stills | Endiran Stills | Sultan The Warrior Stills
After being hounded and pressurized, superstar Rajinikanth is going to meet his fans today (November 3) at his Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam. The key functionaries from 32 districts in Tamilnadu are going to have a tete-tete with the superstar.
The fans want him to float a socio-political forum, to help them enter politics. They feel Rajini can create a vote bank for himself like Vijaykanth and Sarath Kumar.
Some of these fans of Rajinkanth has been with him for more than 25 years and have gained little, while fans of Vijaykanth who joined his party have all become VIP's in their area and enjoy vast political clout.
And political commentators like Cho Ramasamy have been saying that Rajini if he joins politics will sweep the elections. The hunger for power is driving fans like Rajini Babu of Coimbatore to float a party and use his picture on the party flag. Though Rajinikanth has warned of taking action against him, nothing has been done so far.
Meanwhile Rajinikanth's fiery speech at Nadigar Sangam's Unnavrutham on Saturday has become a hit with his fans. In the speech he pointed out that the war situation in Sri Lanka had been prevailing for over 30 years and all the military might of the Sri Lankan army has not been able to quash the Sri Lankan Tamil aspirations.
After the speech Sathyaraj was shown on television hugging and congratulating Rajini, which has gone down well with the Sri Lankan Tamils.
So today's meeting of fans with the superstar is of prime importance and politicians in the state are watching it closely. The fan club members are keen to piggy back ride on the superstar to Tamilnadu politics. Will Mr. Rajinikanth oblige them? Watch this space.
