Three films are scheduled on Friday (Dec 19) and one on Thursday (Dec 18), making it the biggest ever weekend for Tamil films in recent times.
On Thursday Silambarasan's Silambattam is opening big in nearly 150 screens worldwide. The trade is betting big on the film and it has been sold at high prices. The music of the film by Yuvan Shankar Raja, is already a rage.
On Friday 'Action King' Arjun's new action entertainer Thiruvannamalai is releasing. The film directed by mass director Perarasu needs to be a hit for the hero and his director.
Will Sun Pictures lucky streak continue? Can they do a hat trick with Karunas Dindigal Sarathy, a low budget family drama with no stars? If the film turns out to be a hit Sun Pictures will become even more omnipotent.
Finally if Abhiyum Najanum releases this Friday, the feel good sentimental film on father-daughter relationship can turn out to be the dark horse at the box-office. Can Radha Mohan and Prakash Raj repeat their Mozhi magic?
