After a disastrous Diwali, Kollywood is now looking forward to Pongal 2009 with a lot of hope and anticipation.
The number of movies will be less, though prior to it everybody will claim that they will come out for Pongal.
As of now, the sure bets seems to be Ayngaran International's prestigious Vijay-Nayanthara starrer Villu. AVM's Surya- Tamannaah action entertainer Ayan and Dhanush- Tamannaah action comedy Padikathavan.
One of the Kavithalaaya films either Arjun's Thiruvannamalai or Jeevan's Krishnaleelai is likely to make it. The buzz is that Aascar Films Siddharth- Tamannaah love story Ananda Thandavam is also slated for Pongal

Sneha Ullal, the bollywood beauty who entered tollywood with “Ullasamga Utsahamga” is said to be a girl equipped with beauty and brains. The green eyed girl is said to be mesmerizing the audiences with her toxic eyes in her latest release “Nenu Meeku Thelusa?” This film has Manchu Vishnuvardhan as a hero. Recently, the film was released and the film is said to be having less mileage in it. Keeping aside the film, Sneha has gathered a lot of praise for her acting skills as a police officer and also for her wet scenes. The scenes depict Sneha licking the hero on his chest, face, thighs and what not?
Her wet costumes reveal her petite shapes on top and bottom. Her milky white thighs are heating up the pants of the male audiences in the theaters and is reported to be the next crazy actress after Ileana. But Sneha has already revealed that she is ready for skin show, but not for intimate scenes and kissing scenes.

Tamannah who is now said to be the delicate darling of south Indian films is said to become a highlight in the movie Konchem Ishtanga Konchem Kashtanga. Some sources even reveal that she is being pampered a lot o sets like a delicate doll in order to fetch the most out of her. She is paid almost 45 lakhs remuneration to act in this movie and Hot Stallion Siddharth is the hero in this movie. Most of the talkie part is almost finished canning and the remaining will be done by November last week. Then the unit will leave for foreign locales to can three songs at a stretch.
Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna play vital roles in this movie and Ramya will play the character of Tamannah’s mother. As an over conscious mother, Ramya Krishna will shield her daughter from the hero and the movie is said to be filled with hilarious comedy in the first half.
Tamannah as usual will be seen in skimpy clothes, but her reel mother Ramya Krishna will also be seen in strap on blouses and sleeveless designer saris. This is to entertain the mass audience with her aunty figure.
KIKK will be a Sankranthi bonanza and in the month of December its audio will be released.

The lead pair of Tamannaah and new boy Siddharth along with Rishi who plays an important role (villain?), director Gandhi Krishna, cameraman ‘Jeeva’ Shankar and music director GV Prakash Kumar were present to meet the media and release the audio.
First things first- The audio rocks. The first song Pattu Poochi…. sung by Naresh Iyer is soft and melodious while the second song which is GV’s personal favourite Kallil Aadum… is hummable.
It was an informal get-together arranged by Nandini of Sony BMG at a coffee shop which was cramped but like Tamannaah said: “ Everybody is talking about space constraints but I feel nice as I feel very near to the media and there is a certain amount of closeness among all of us”.
Director Gandhi Krishna was all praise about late writer Sujatha’s story which inspired him to make this film and producer Aascar Films who had tremendous faith in him. He said: “In fact, I consider Aantha Thandavam as my first film and it is a dedication to Sujatha. I have not changed anything in his story including the names of characters and locations where the story happens from Papanasam to New York. I thank GV Prakash for fantastic songs, Vairamuthu for meaningful lyrics, and my lead actors for giving life to the characters”.
New boy Siddharth, a computer engineer was a bit tensed but thanked the entire unit especially director Gandhi Krishna for giving him a dream debut. Small screen actor Rishi gave a small speech followed by GV Prakash but it was the demure Tamannaah who took everyone by surprise by her confident speech about her experience of working with the team of Anantha Thandavam
