Yuvan Shankar Raja has been so close to Selvaraghavan right from the early days of his career. But then, as three of these special personalities; Selvaraghavan, Yuvan and cinematographer Aravind Krishna split up, they had to give up their joint venture of production as ‘White Elephants’.
Finally, Selvaraghavan opted for G.V. Prakash to score music for his forthcoming flick ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ starring Paruthiveeran fame Karthi, Reema Sen, Andrea and Parthiban in lead roles. Soon after getting completed with this project, Selvaraghavan will kick-start his next project featuring new faces in the lead role and A.R. Rahman has signed to score music for the film

Mumbai model Sanaa Khan has been paired with Simbu in his upcoming film ‘Silambattam’.
Silambattam Music Album got released on 20th of October. Silambattam, stars Silambarasan and debutante Sana Khan in the lead roles. Cinematographer Saravanan directs this film which has Simbu in the role of a Hindu, Brahmin priest. Prabhu plays the role of an inspector in ‘Silambattam’. Yuvan Shankar Raja composes the music. It will be the first time, that Simbu plays a Hindu priest. Silambarasan in Silambattam cast two heroines Sneha and Sana
Khan and most part of the movie was filmed in temple locations as the hero himself is a “Kovil Poojari” (Temple Priest). Let’s worship the Gods with Simbu and Silambattam in November

SILAMBATTAM AUDIO RELEASED

The audio launch of Silambarasan’s Silambattam is set to happen today. Mumbai model Sanaa Khan has been paired with Simbu in his upcoming film ‘Silambattam’.
The song Nalam Thana is not a complete remix of the old Shivaji Ganesan Number. There are only a few words used from the old hit song. The song Where is da party is said to be a foot tapping number. The movie also has a remix of the Nallavankku Nallavan song Vechikkava Unna. Besides these, Ilayaraja has also lent his voice for one of the songs of the movie.
Silambattam is produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers. Directed by cinematographer-turned-director Saravanan, and has Yuvan Shankar Raja composing the music for the movie

Aegan- Widest ever release overseas

Ajit-Nayanthara action entertainer Aegan, will have the widest ever release overseas for a Tamil film in a record 150 screens on October 24.
The buzz on Aegan is getting bigger. Yuvan songs are catching up, and Ajit will ensure a big opening. The producers of the film Ayngaran International are the biggest Tamil film distributors overseas and they are going to market it aggressively.
A wide release will ensure that the overseas audiences get to see the film in the first weekend itself. So it is but natural that they book all available screens playing Tamil films.
Bharat Creations the US distributors of Aegan is releasing it big. Says Mohan Ruthirakottiof Bharat Creations: “This is the first time a Ajith movie will be releasing with more than 12 prints in USA. The number of prints are double when compared to previous Ajith's blockbuster Billa. Special celebrations are being planned at across USA at all theatres to celebrate Diwali 2008”.
