One time Kollywood’s leading producer K.T Kunjumon is back after a eight year sabbatical with his new film Kaathalukku Maranamillai with the tag line- ‘Love never dies’, with all new faces.
Remember Kunjumon was the producer of the mega blockbuster and director Shankar’s debut film Gentleman and later Kathalan. He was one time leading producer and distributor and known for his films with lots of grandeur and richness. But after making the flop Rakshakan and an unreleased Koteeswaran supposed to be the launch pad of his son Abbi, he went into wilderness.
Now after eight years he is making a film with all newcomers and a debutant director Balaji. It is a love story with a difference and had a big launch yesterday(Nov 2) at Green Park Hotel in Vadapalani in Chennai.
The launch was a glitzy affair and done with his usual style of having animated Gorilla and a Elephant which look life like outside the auditorium, welcoming the guest as the red carpet was rolled out.
All his old time friends and supporters turned up to greet him with huge flower bouquets on his come back. There was his one –time protégé director Shankar, director Praveenkanth, Producers and distributors like S.A Chandrasekhar, Abirami ramanathan, KRG, Super Good R.B Chowdhary, Kalaipuli Sekharan, A.L Azhagappan and many others.
Later the star cast of the film was introduced – Tejas, Meera Nandan, Ravi and Maddalasa (Mitti Sharma). The film has music by Bhardwaj and story by K.T Kunjumon and directed by C.Balaji. The shoot of the film starts from November 5
