Ajit’s 50th movie is confirmed | Surangani Stills

It’s official that Ajit would be directed by the hot and happening Venkat Prabhu for his 50th Golden Jubilee venture. The film is said to be an action comedy, with all elements that his fans love.
Ajit himself told an English daily that Venkat Prabhu will be the chosen one to direct his 50th film and he is quoted as saying- “Venkat has already told me a one-line thread, and I liked it a lot. He will be finalizing the script and the producer will soon be decided.”
The Ultimate Star’s golden jubilee film will start rolling only by middle of next year after Venkat completes his pending Goa and Ajit is through with his 49th film with Gautham Vasudeva Menon

Nayan bothered about AEGAN’s fate

Nayantara who was interviewed recently by a well known channel on the occasion of diwali made astonishing statements against her latest release AEGAN. When she was projected with the question that the movie has got a bitter response on the first day itself, Nayan cleared the air that she is least bothered about AEGAN anymore and also added that it was headache of the hero Ajith and not of her.
She also revealed that she has received her remuneration and accordingly has acted in the film with a lot of oomph added to her acting skills. And so she has no reason to bother about the movie’s fate and claims that she never regrets about her past movies.
These words were minced by the Television Channel, but were released in the newspaper. Nayan’s words seem to make the audience feel that she has spoken the truth and has given her best to the film.
Meanwhile, Raju Sundaram is giving shocking statements that his film is a block buster and is not a copy of a Hindi Film “Main Hoon Naa”.
It is better Raju, if you stick to your basics and stop meddling with the big hero’s careers. Raghava Lawrence and Raju have proved that they are just choreographers and never perfect directors

Nayan and Vijay in Beaches

Last week Nayanthara was with Ajit in Switzerland, shooting a song for Aegan.
Both of them were dancing to the tune of Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and taking part in a duet Mallika Mallika… choreographed by director Raju Sundaram.
Now Nayan is in Phuket dancing on the beaches with Ilayathalapathy Vijay for Villu directed and choreographed by Prabhu Deva, Raju’s brother!
Vijay had earlier completed some deadly action scenes, in Bangkok. Now after completing the song, they will be shooting some more portion of the talkie part of the film.
Nearly 60 percent of the talkie part of the film is being shot abroad, as per story demands

Ajith’s Aegan will be an all out action ride, the movies crew has given us a feeler about its other side. Yes, Aegan will have action aplenty, enough to satiate all Ultimate Star fans but it will not be just action, there will be a strong sentimental current running through the movie. The outline of the story that Ajith we have heard of suggests that lots of family emotions will be at play in this movie.
In Aegan, Ajith’s father marries a second time. Ajith’s foster brother, played by Navdeep, is born out of the marriage. The situations in the life of such a family, the sentiments involved between a step mother and son, are said to form a pivotal portion of the story. Suhasini plays the role of the second wife. The Aegan crew says that Ajith will be seen in many emotionally moving scenes and that will definitely grab our attention

The story, progressing from the youthful stage of the lead character, spans the next two phases of his life comprising his adolescence and adulthood. Surya (Suriya) is an ordinary young man, leading a quiet life with his parents Krishnan (Suriya) and Malini (Simran). Music is young Surya's passion. For him, the music from his guitar resembles reflects life's sensations. With music as his escape hatch, Surya is capable of transporting himself to places far and away from reality. What happens to this all-consuming zeal? the first half of the film has a lot of fun and frolic where Bharath has teamed up with Vadivelu for a laugh riot. The second half is full of emotion. The screenplay is such that one cannot guess what is going to happen in the second half

Abhiyum Naanum, a film all about a father-daughter relationship, has been in and out of financial troubles ever since it started rolling. With the film’s shooting finally over and is slated for an October release, director Radha Mohan seems to heave a sigh of relief. Abhiyum Naanum was initially slated for an August 15th release but had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
What Mozhi did for Jyothika, Abhiyum Naanum is bound to do for Trisha, say inside sources. But critics feel that Abhiyum Naanum’s lagging release date could also be detrimental to Trisha’s career. Prakash Raj plays Trisha’s father in this film. Let’s wait to know if Abhiyum Naanum is Trisha’s boon or bane.
