Guru En Aalu postponed to November

Guru En Aalu,the film that was censored first among Diwali releases has been postponed to November. This Madhavan- Mamta- Abbas- Vivek starrer is directed by Selva and produced by KRG.
The film which has been cleared by the censors with a ‘UA’ certificate, was originally supposed to release for Diwali on October 27. They had made booking with Chennai city theatres, and had issued newspaper ads.
But since there was acute theatre shortage outside Chennai, it had to be cancelled. A festival like Diwali can accommodate only three big movies- Aegan, Vaaranam Aayiram, Seval in Tamilnadu theatres

Ajith’s Aegan will be an all out action ride, the movies crew has given us a feeler about its other side. Yes, Aegan will have action aplenty, enough to satiate all Ultimate Star fans but it will not be just action, there will be a strong sentimental current running through the movie. In Aegan, Ajith’s father marries a second time. Ajith’s foster brother, played by Navdeep, is born out of the marriage. The situations in the life of such a family, the sentiments involved between a step mother and son, are said to form a pivotal portion of the story. Suhasini plays the role of the second wife. The Aegan crew says that Ajith will be seen in many emotionally moving scenes and that will definitely grab our attention

The story, progressing from the youthful stage of the lead character, spans the next two phases of his life comprising his adolescence and adulthood. Surya (Suriya) is an ordinary young man, leading a quiet life with his parents Krishnan (Suriya) and Malini (Simran). Young Surya goes through a gamut of experiences in his life: he gets bullied by his roguish school seniors, battles an intense infatuation, is thrashed by street rowdies for a trivial fault and embarks upon adventurous experiments with his friends. All these are part of his growing up years; some trifle with his budding manhood and associated feelings while others teach him life's worthy lessons. Yet the experiences continue; each happening and its consequence adds a significant dimension, chiselling his expanding maturity. He slowly graduates from unassuming boyhood and teens, reaches adulthood and progresses to become a composed family man. His life continues to be eventful; some memories are stingingly painful, some are just unforgettable; these he treasures close to his heart
Music is young Surya's passion. For him, the music from his guitar resembles reflects life's sensations. With music as his escape hatch, Surya is capable of transporting himself to places far and away from reality. What happens to this all-consuming zeal? Abhiyum Naanum, a film all about a father-daughter relationship, has been in and out of financial troubles ever since it started rolling. With the film’s shooting finally over and is slated for an October release, director Radha Mohan seems to heave a sigh of relief. Abhiyum Naanum was initially slated for an August 15th release but had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
What Mozhi did for Jyothika, Abhiyum Naanum is bound to do for Trisha, say inside sources. But critics feel that Abhiyum Naanum’s lagging release date could also be detrimental to Trisha’s career. Prakash Raj plays Trisha’s father in this film. Let’s wait to know if Abhiyum Naanum is Trisha’s boon or bane.

After remaking veteran director K Balachander's 'Nan Avan Illai', Selvah is ready with the remake of the recent Bollywood hit 'Yes Boss'.'Yes Boss', the original had Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla in the lead with Aditya Pancholi doing a supporting role.'Guru En Aalu' will mark KRG's 49th production - the producer returns to filmmaking after a five-year hiatus.

Says Selvah: 'It's a light-hearted comedy. Guru (Madhavan) is a young ambitious man who will do anything to keep his boss Krishna (Abbas) happy. Guru aspires to start his own advertising agency as promised by his boss and everything goes awry till he meets and falls in love with a beautiful girl.

His boss also lays his eyes on the same girl, a model named Seema (Mamtha) and desires to add her to his list of mistresses.Seema, a middle-class hostelite, has dreams of making it to the top of the glamorous world of fashion. While Guru begins to love Seema, she naively gets taken in by Krishna's smooth talk and is drawn towards him.

'Guru's dilemma is that he has to keep his boss happy to fulfill his ambition and yet he is aware that his beloved is being conned into a false relationship', Selvah says.

Vivek, M S Baskar, Manobala, Mayilsamy are also in the cast. Music is by Srikanth Deva while cinematography is by U K Senthil Kumar. The other credits are Siva Yadav (art), Thalapathy Dinesh (stunts) and V T Vijayan (editing).Says Selvah, ' When I informed Shahrukh that I would be doing his 'Yes Boss' in Tamil, he immediately suggested Madhavan's name for the lead role. Madhavan too was eager to work in the project. Mamta plays the role enacted by Madhuri Dixit'.

Madhavan is upbeat about the movie. He says, 'I had seen 'Yes Boss' several times. It has emotions, romance and humor in it. Selvah is a crafty director, who can do justice to the script'Says Vivek, ' In Guru En Aalu, I play a woman for the first time. Everyone on the sets including
